This listing is to enroll your child in our Crochet enrichment program. Be sure to click on the day and time selection. This project requires a 2 month commitment

*Please enroll on the 1st of each month May and June. 

Start Date May 3rd - End Date June 28th (9 classes total)

During class students will learn the foundation stitches of chain, single, double, half double and treble and make several projects providing plenty of practice to master the basics. Projects include granny squares and useable wash cloth. 

Here at the Happy Makers our goal is to encourage confidence and creativity. We offer our enrichment program on Sunday-Thursday. We focus less on perfection and more on the process, with the hope that we help start a creative future for your child for many years to come.

Our class is held once a week for an hour and a half with the first and last 10 minutes dedicated to work area set up and clean up for a duration of 4 weeks. Workbook/patterns and all materials/yarn are provided including our kid-friendly instructors!

Class schedule:

May - Wednesday: 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24, 5/31

June - Wednesday: 6/7, 6/14, 6/21, 6/28


What’s provided:

MATERIALS • All materials are included in the class fee; kids are welcome to bring their own material of their choice or use what Happy Makers has provided. 

TIME • 1.5 hours classes 

(Classes are non refundable but we do understand life happens. 1 makeup class will be held once a month (date and time TBD).

CROCHET INSTRUCTOR • Zoe Prusa is a student at Moorpark College who is working towards a degree in child education. She is very passionate about working alongside kids and helping their creative process, as well as anything that involves crocheting! She believes that the process of making things should be fun and full of encouragement!

SEWING TEACHER • Marissa Lopez is a former student of FIDM with a major in Fashion Design and has worked in a school setting at Mesa Union and Ventura County School District. She has a real passion for teaching and all things sewing! Her patience and enthusiasm will have you laughing, learning, creating, and becoming a true maker!

• Class minimum is 4 students. Class maximum is 10 students. Class is subject to being canceled due to low enrollment.

Here at Happy Makers it is my hope that each student leave with finished projects. However, it's difficult to put a time frame on creativity, so, not all students may finish their projects in class. They will certainly be armed with the supplies, skills, and plan to tackle the project at home.
