Sew & Ride
October Session: 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28
Sewing & Equestrian Weekly Lessons - Come join us for a creative and animal filled 2 hour weekly workshop with Happy Makers Studio and Legacy Ranch! We will be alternating riding and sewing each week. You're kiddo will get their creative juices flowing sewing for 2 hours one week and then head to the stables the next week to horse back ride and care for the ranch animals! It’s going to be an amazing time!!! *projects will vary on student experience*
What’s provided:
MATERIALS • All materials are included in the class fee; kids are welcome to bring their own material of their choice or use what Happy Makers has provided.
TIME • 2 hours of indoor and outdoor activities x 4 days (monthly session)
SEWING INSTRUCTOR • Marissa Lopez (Happy Makers Studio, Somis) is a former student of FIDM with a major in Fashion Design and has worked in a school setting at Mesa Union and Ventura County School District. She has a real passion for teaching and all things sewing! Her patience and enthusiasm will have you laughing, learning, creating, and becoming a true maker!
LEGACY RANCH RIDING INSTRUCTOR • Alexia George (Legacy Ranch, Somis)
*There will be a teachers assistant throughout the week to help assist the students with threading needles and troubleshooting problems*

Class minimum is 5 students. Class maximum 10 students. Class is subject to being canceled due to low enrollment. Experience required - Confident Beginner ages 7 and up. This workshop is open to children with sewing machine experience (able to operate a sewing machine and sew a straight line). No expierence? No problem! Please attend a Happy Makers beginner workshop in order to join.
