Payment and tuition information
Each session will last for 4 weeks. Payment is required on or before the first class. If tuition has not been paid by the end of the second class of the session, and you haven't discussed or made arrangements with me prior to the start of the session, I will be unable to have your child join us in class.
All payments can be made online via my website, or by cash or check on the first day of class.

Classes run for 1 hr and 30 minutes with the first and final 15 minutes dedicated to work area clean up (unless otherwise stated)
We try to operate a grown up free zone in the workspace so please do not enter the work area until class has concluded. There is a waiting area for your convenience.
Please do not drop off any earlier than 5 minutes prior to class. If you are running late to pick up your child, please send me a text message.
Please do your best to pick up your children on time. Pick-ups that are late in excess of a half hour, will be charged $10.
Class minimum is 4 students. Class is subject to being canceled due to low enrollment.
Cancellations and transfers may NOT be done through the website. You will need to contact me directly. There are no refunds for missed days due to changed work or vacation schedules, sick days or other non-emergency reasons. There will be 1 make up day a month. Please be sure to sign up if your child misses a class.
Transfers may only be made from one session to another session; not from a session to one of the Happy Makers camp or workshop. All but $25 will be returned for approved refunds for each session made 14 days prior to class.
There will be no refunds for students who decide to leave mid session.
Refunds are not allowed for those who register within 7 days prior to a session’s start.
Monthly sewing sessions: Make-ups are permitted during our makeup session once a month. If you can not make the scheduled makeup class there will be sent home with the knowledge and materials needed to complete the project at home. Please be mindful of class preparation, materials along with class sizes and student to teacher ratios are carefully controlled for safety reasons.
Camps and Workshops: We understand things happen and offer a full refund with 30 day notice from the camp start date. Cancelations made less than 30 days we offer a 50% class refund or credit to another camp/workshop.
Make up class policy
I offer one make up class per session to be scheduled at a time that is convenient to the studio.
Make up classes must take place during that session and are not transferable to another session.
I understand that things come up last minute however I would appreciate a text message to let me know if your child will not be able to make it to class. Please let me know how many sessions you are thinking that your child may attend. If you are planning on leaving sewing class I would appreciate a 3 week warning so that I can offer up the space to a child on the waiting list.
The Happy Makers Studio follows Oxnard & Pleasant Valley School District Inclement Weather Closing Policies. If Public schools in Ventura County close for inclement weather or emergencies, Happy Makers Studio will cancel any scheduled classes.
Make-up classes due to inclement weather or emergencies will be schedule for a later date.
Due to the nature of the Studio and the work we do therein, we have many items that can be dangerous if not handled properly, or if students behave irresponsibly. Items include but are not limited to: scissors, seam rippers, rotary cutters, sewing machines with moving parts and sharp needles, pins, sewing needles, rulers with sharp corners, hot glue guns, and so on. It is our policy at Happy Makers Studio that students behave in a way that demonstrates self control, responsibility, respect, and age-appropriate maturity. Horseplay, dangerous behavior, using materials in an irresponsible manner etc., is ABSOLUTELY not allowed and any student conducting him or herself in a manner deemed dangerous will be held accountable and a parent will be contacted immediately.
Food and Drinks
If your child comes with food and drinks please be sure they leave them in the waiting area. No food or drinks will be allowed inside the studio.
Happy Makers does not supply snacks. Please be sure to pack a snack & water if you feel your child will need one.
Price and/or Description Change
Prices and availability of products are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected once discovered. We reserve the right to change or revoke any stated offer, cancel orders, and to correct any errors or inaccuracies.
If your payment has been processed for the purchase when your order is cancelled, we will issue a credit to the payment method used in the amount of the charge and an email will be sent out as soon as said refund/invoice cancelation is made. Individual bank policies will determine when this amount is credited to your account.
